The new Polestar 3, is a luxury SUV which competes with Audi, BMW and Mercedes at the premium end of the market. The Polestar 3 comes in two versions with prices starting at £69,900.
The Long Range Single Motor variant delivers an impressive range of 438 miles, thanks to its 111kWh battery pack.
For those seeking more power, the Long Range Dual Motor model offers a 395-mile range and starts at £75,900. It features a rear-biased power setup, producing 489PS and 840Nm of torque, with the optional Performance Pack increasing this to 516PS and 910Nm.
Energy efficiency is enhanced through a decoupling function, which allows the rear motor to disengage, enabling the car to run on the front motor alone. Dual Clutch Torque Vectoring on the rear axle and adjustable one-pedal drive also come as standard.
The Polestar 3 boasts a generous list of standard features, with configuration kept simple. All versions include air suspension, 21in alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, all-LED lighting and retractable door handles with proximity sensing.
For the first model year, the Plus Pack and Pilot Pack are also standard, offering premium extras like a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, soft-close doors, a head-up display and Pilot Assist. The Performance Pack, which adds 22-inch alloy wheels, takes the price to £81,500.
Built alongside the Volvo EX90, the Polestar 3 will offer autonomous driving in the future, powered by Luminar’s LiDAR technology and NVIDIA’s centralised computing system.
