Fleet Trends' Insights reveal fleet plans

FleetWise sister-brand, Fleet Trends, has disclosed the results of its latest fleet manager research in the BVRLA's Industry Outlook report – released on 5 December, 2025. 
Fleet Trends undertook both quantitative and qualitative research with fleet managers, identifying their goals, challenges, plans and buying expectations for 2025. The research reveals deep, real-world insight into the fleet industry, highlighting numerous opportunities for fleet industry suppliers next year. Just one example is that 66% of fleets plan to install workplace charging infrastructure in 2025.

Survey of end-user fleet attitudes

Following the budget 360 Media Group conducted a survey of 84 fleet decision maker, exploring business plans for 2025. Among the principal findings were:

• 64% of fleets say cost reduction is their number one strategic priority for 2025.

• 51% expect to increase their volumes of electric cars, but 27% still do not have any EVs.

• 45% are still considering hybrids and PHEVs, despite the Budget's BIK tax changes.
• 66% favour a 2030 deadline, or sooner, for the phase out of the sale of ICE cars.
• 66% plan to install workplace charging infrastructure in the next 12 months.

• 24% of fleets intend to order fewer EVs
• 35% intend to limit the number of EV brands on their choice list
• 20% intend to source cheaper EV brand and models
