Audi has expanded the A5 range with a new e-hybrid plug-in model, offering improved benefit-in-kind tax appeal for company car drivers. The A5 Saloon and Avant, which replaced the A4, now feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain alongside existing petrol and diesel options. The e-hybrid combines a 2.0 TFSI engine and electric motor to deliver 299PS, powered by a 20.7kWh battery enabling up to 67 miles of electric range.
Charging at 11kW takes just 2.5 hours, and CO₂ emissions are rated from 46g/km.
Available from May, the e-hybrid Saloon starts at £48,950, and the Avant at £50,850. Standard petrol variants start at £41,950 and offer 150PS or 204PS, while diesel versions deliver 204PS with optional Quattro all-wheel drive. The S5 features a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine. All variants include 48V mild hybrid tech. Though it sits on a new platform, the A5 retains a familiar look, with updated details like flush door handles and increased interior space thanks to a longer wheelbase.
